I am a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering PhD candidate at the Ohio State University. Over the past nine years, my research has been centered on applying mechanical engineering concepts to advance life sciences. During these years I was able to learn and deploy a wide range of tools to study disease and injury models at the macro-, micro-, and nanoscales. I am particularly drawn to how diverse techniques that range from mechanical testing and computer modeling, to microscopy, microfluidics, and DNA nanotechnology, can be combined to shed some light on a challenging question, or uncover a hidden pathway. My research interests are in DNA Origami, Microfluidics, Nanotechnology, Hydrogels, Tissue Engineering, and Cancer.
