Mr. Meltzer is Chair of the creditors'​ rights and real estate departments at Weber Gallagher. He represents national and local financial institutions, loan servicers, vehicle finance companies, equipment lessors, title companies and debt purchasers, on commercial and residential matters, including debt and judgment collection, workouts, foreclosures, bankruptcies, and replevins throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. He also has an extensive commercial litigation practice, and won a number of major victories in 2022 and 2023, with a number of judges specifically praising Peter's trial preparation and advocacy. He has been selected to the Martindale-Hubbell "Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers in America"​ every year since 1997. From 2010-2023, he has been named a Pennsylvania Superlawyer. In 2022, he won an award from a national client for "Outstanding Overall Performance." Mr. Meltzer has given many lectures on creditors'​ rights, commercial litigation strategies and real estate and is the author of numerous articles which have been cited by many courts. They include: "The Thinker's Thesaurus: Sophisticated Synonyms for Common Words"​ (3rd ed.), published by Norton. This was the top-selling thesaurus in the U.S. over 70 weeks. "So You Think You Know Baseball?", was also published by Norton and was named one of the top 7 baseball books of 2013 by ESPN. “So You Think You Know the Presidents?” was published in 2014. A 4th book, about rock and roll music from 1965-1975 was published in 2017.
