I retired from Macquarie University in 2010 as an Emeritus Professor in the Faculty of Business and Economics. I was also Director of Graduate Studies in the Faculty with responsibility for developing and managing postgraduate coursework programs across all areas of business. During my time as a university academic, I taught, researched and published in the fields of financial and corporate accounting, mergers and acquisitions and financial statement analysis. I maintain a relationship with the accounting profession, being a Fellow of both Chartered Accountants ANZ and CPA Australia.I am now working in the private higher education sector at the Australian National Institute of Management and Commerce. In this role, I am involved in academic governance, strategy and management, course and curriculum design and development, professional and regulatory accreditation, and quality assurance.
