As a former biotechnology industry scientist and research director who made an intentional shift to higher education, I bring STEM industry experience to institutions along with the drive to make a difference in peoples’ lives. My background is therefore unique among educational administrators and provides the rare ability to understand many perspectives needed to implement inventive, adaptive approaches to achieving institutional goals.Each of my career advancements has delivered a greater opportunity to develop programs and enable outcomes that genuinely make a difference. At present, being part of an industry faced with rapid change has allowed a “big bang pace” of important improvements to approaches and modalities of learning – all with the primary objective of student success, now and into the future.As leader of an institution, I am the “living logo” of that institution. Therefore, I am responsible for establishing and maintaining leadership culture, developing and implementing strategies, and strengthening relationships within the institution and among the community, alumni, and donors. Select Achievements:► Drove inclusive, turnaround efforts and program expansion at Landmark College, growing the institution from a two-year niche school to a diverse institution offering undergraduate degrees, short-term and graduate programs, and rapidly expanding online offerings. ► Spearheaded and led collaborative strategic planning efforts throughout my career in education to develop multiple undergraduate and graduate-level degree programs, to set integrated marketing and admissions plans, and to introduce improved systems leading to institutional and student success.► Serve as chief fundraiser at Landmark, where each year we set Annual Fund records. We also have completed several significant capital and major fundraising campaigns and are engaged in the quiet phase of a comprehensive campaign.► In a deliberately inclusive fashion, helped to establish the Centers for Diversity and Inclusion and the Center for Neurodiversity – both at Landmark.
