Currently employed as an electrical engineer but cover a spectrum ranging from industrial and campus IT to process development. Work a lot with data analysis both for troubleshooting and for development. Also work with software development, system operation, strategic design and compliance; as well as maintenance of electrical, automation, control and IT systems.Avid user of Python, pandas and GNU tools and firm believer of virtualization of legacy IT systems. Tries eagerly to bridge the gap between traditional industrial plants and modern IT environments and has for example proven Django to be a perfect platform for different industrial applications.

Control system engineering for power generation, mostly nuclear, industry.Have been working with things like:- Modern DCS systems (800xA) including customization and deep performance testing and analysis.- Legacy control systems such as Advant (AC450) including deep perfomance testing, analysis and programming.- Even more legacy control systems: combimatic, combitrol, combiflex. Was full-time part of a project being responsible of electric design and functional testing for new combitrol/combmatic/combiflex cabinets.- Network and fieldbus communication (TCP/IP, OPC DA/AE/UA, AF100...) including performance testing and analysis.- Software testing in Windows and Linux environment.

Started out as an electrical engineer in slitting and packaging lines, leading electrical maintenance and development (PLC, SCADA, motor drives, IT et c). Was part of on-call service 24/7 every fifth week, covering HV system (130, 30, 6, 3 kV), fire alarm (technical problems), steam boiler and backup for electrician (all things electrical < 1kV).Was a major part in different projects, like revamping of PLC systems, upgrading machine safety (including programming Jokab PLUTO controllers), upgrading SCADA systems, data communication et c. Made integrations of new machines and continuous improvements.Made electrical desigs including a complete hydraulic facility, in which I also made the programming and lead the commissioning. Has done a lot of minor hardware stuff continuously (changes, new features et c) using Elprocad, EL-Vis et c.Evolved into being more focused on development in automation and industrial IT systems, as responsible of Sura's industrial IT. Accomplished tasks such as replacement of communication interface between rolling mill controllers (AC450) and SCADA (InTouch); integration of new furnace in an annealing line (Siemens S7-400/WinCC) into existing system (ABB 800xA); total renovation of rolling mill recipe system (from native AC450 to a decentralised MySQL/InTouch system); development of a variety of Python applications for communication between machines and ERP and for operating an overhead crane scale et c.

Was part of on-call service 24/7 every forth week, covering pretty much all things electrical < 1 kV.Worked with maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical facility, including cold rolling mill, annealing lines, pickling and blastering lines, slitting and packaging lines, overhead cranes, acid neutralisation facility et c.Worked with installation and cabinet wiring.Was doing a lot of automation stuff and some development, including a complete WinCC application from scratch as part of an electrical and instrumental revamping of an acid neutralisation facility. The work included system configuration, alarm management, trend logging, pictures, a lot of scripting (VBS and C). Was also part of commissioning.
