I am a Chartered Engineer with The Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation. I hold a B.Eng (Honours) Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Transport Planning and Engineering. In my role with Transport Scotland I am an Area Manager within Roads - Network Maintenance, responsible for an area of the South West Trunk Road Network.In my role with the Performance Audit Group (PAG) I was responsible for auditing, monitoring and reporting on the technical and performance aspects of the Trunk Road Operating Companies on behalf of Transport Scotland. My role with Main Roads Western Australia was a Traffic Engineer in Road Planned Interventions. I dealt primarily with temporary traffic management, planning events, major road closures and managing congestion on the State road network.I have previously worked as a road designer on the Scotland TranServ joint venture between Balfour Beatty and Mouchel, delivering the North West Trunk Road (3G) contract on behalf of Transport Scotland.
