My main field of interest is microbiology, with special focus on medical microbiology. Human, animal and plant pathogens are the focus of my interest. the pathogenesis of these microbes and the detection and treatment methods are fascinating to me.My internship and summerjob at MML Comicro gave me amazing insight in the goings on in a medical microbiology laboratory.And my graduation project at Dümmen Orange provided me with insight in the steps required to develop a molecular detection method from scratch.
