Mainframe Communications had primarily been involved with the manufacturer of fibre optic communication components in 2000 they won a EURO RING fibre optic installation contract for KPN Quest. Initially I was brought in to assist in the management of the delivery and installation of the fibre optic cabling & equipment ODF, MDF, Fibre Raceway hubs across European sites. Mid stage of the project I was required to take complete control of the Fibre Optic project running multiple Fibre installation teams throughout Europe from installation to sign off. This project run until 2002.I was then involved in managing and developing other installation BT telecommunication projects for the MOD (Cogent - EADS). I was involved in winning, costing and managing a new area of business for BT Low wire poling project (Telent) requiring setting up a telecommunication poling yard and building up poling crews to meet the telecommunication project demands in the Essex area.

Commissioning offshore Oil & Gas Production Platforms testing and commissioning Emergency Shutdown and fire and gas systems in the North sea, middle and far east. The systems were designed and manufactured by ICS control systems from solid state to PLC controlled.In this role I was required to lead commissioning teams of up to 25 engineers in module yards and first oil start ups on/offshore. Lead Commissioning engineer involved with managing teams of engineers in the commissioning and start up of ESD Emergency shut down and Fire and Gas systems for off shore platforms and on shore process plants. This work required a high level of technical ability on systems and process plant and the ability to meet exacting project time lines for first oil and gas production. 4 year telecommunication apprentice (STC) (ITT) Trained in all aspects of electronic component assembly and test and faulting electronic of circuit boards used in TXE4 telephone exchange electronic equipment. Trained on the maintenance and repair of the electronic test equipment used on the TXE4 exchange circuit boards.
