This involves a display system that not only provides exceptional image quality but also actively integrates the physiological response of the user into operation. Member of the Lynn Turbofan/Turbojet Engineering (LTTE) group in support of Military Power & Propulsion Engineering. Current responsibilities involve the ownership, design, analysis, and implementation of Externals & Configurations hardware on F414/F404 engines and their derivatives. I've successfully Certified Fuel system hardware & Bleed-Air system hardware with the FAA for the CT7-2E1 engine used in the recently fielded AugustaWestland AW-189 helicopter. The recently constructed demonstrator 10,000 shp engine (GEXK) for the Army uses a novel actuation scheme to run the variable compressor geometry. I share a recently filed GE patent with another senior engineer outlining this actuation approach, and have worked closely with a supplier (Woodward Inc.) to design a device for proof of concept.Earlier in 2015, we saw the successful first ever flight of Sikorsky's S-97 Raider on which I supported the redesign & retrofit of the YT706 turboshaft engine thus dubbed the 'YT706R'. This was a unique opportunity to work on an experimental aircraft, and one of the very few single engine platforms supported by GE Aviation. This presented new challenges and design constraints not found in any of my other efforts.My most recent project was the design and creation of the heat exchanger system for the GE9x Engine. The GE9x will be the next generation engine to support the Boeing 777 aircraft with improved thrust and SFC. As part of this job, I integrate between just about every single functional area on the engine as the heat exchanger solution must satisfy all of the thermal balancing in the engine. The first prototype of the system was proven in Q2 of last year, and production hardware FAA certification is underway.

Member of Dynamic Analysis Group - Work involves the qualification of major foundations, equipment, and assemblies for shock hardening on US Navy warships (notably DDG-51, DDG-1000, and LCS ships) through analysis. Heavy emphasis on design development through finite element analysis. Also includes non-linear dynamic transient analysis simulations for acoustic isolation systems.
