I have a passion for aviation which led to my career as an Airline Pilot. As a Captain, trainer, and mentor at Southwest Airlines, I gained a passion for leadership coaching. I learned how emotional intelligence can be used in every situation to strengthen communication and develop confidence. I had the privilege to serve as a highly trained member for Critical Incident Stress Management. This program mentors pilots to strengthen their awareness and communication skills. I counseled individual team members through hardships. We focused on ways to help them excel through any situation by accessing their emotional intelligence and learning to communicate effectively.I focus my own leadership coaching methods on emotional intelligence. I am a certified A Deeper Way (ADW) Facilitator and studied the coaching techniques of former Harvard Professor Daniel Goleman, a leader in discerning and developing emotional intelligence. I am also a John Maxwell Team member. I use these fundamentals of leadership coaching with my clients, based on their unique needs.Originally from a small-town northwest of Chicago, I credit the basics of my work ethics to a childhood that included working on a dairy farm, running on the cross-country team, and playing outdoor hockey. At a young age, I learned that strength and perseverance build character and bring results. I am fluent in reading and writing Spanish and English.
