Peter Erwin has been associated with wrap-up construction programs (OCIP) since 1993, when, as Director of Risk Management, he implemented the first OCIP for the New York City Transit Authority. In 1997, he had responsibility for all five OCIPS in the MTA; the value of the contracts under OCIP was over one billion dollars per year. Peter set up a safety monitoring and reporting system on wrap-up construction sites to ensure that proper practices and procedures were being followed. He worked with team of safety professionals to develop loss reduction strategies through monitoring of the contractor safety performance. He designed reports for upper management to summarize progress against benchmarks. His efforts resulted in significant documented savings for the MTA.In his position Aon, Inc., Mr. Erwin works with clients to improve risk management reporting and develop strategies to lower costs and respond to opportunities to improve the risk management program. He is the advocate for the client to the carrier and works to coordinate the tasks of the Aon staff working on client’s projects.
