I was responsible for managing client stakeholder relationships with government and for providing strategic political and communications advice to clients across the public and private sectors.My role involved:• Advising on the impact of legislative proposals on client’s business models / activities • Developing political lobbying and communications strategies to secure client objectives (ranging from securing approvals for projects or funding, to campaigning for amendments to legislation) • Providing political intelligence via parliamentary monitoring and drafting submissions to Government consultations and select committee inquiries on behalf of my clients • Providing training for appearances before parliamentary select committees • Managing client relationships with political stakeholders.. • Providing independent, external advice to help them understand how they and their businesses are perceived in Parliament, Whitehall and the media etc.
