I am a pharmacist. As at 1st January, 2019, I have a financial interest in 13 Community pharmacies and 3 medical centres.My wife and I own the Heritage Hotel Dorrigo.My work today involves providing strategic input to these businesses at partnership and board level and administration back up.Prior to working on the pharmacies in which I have a financial interest I provided strategic planning, category management, marketing and work flow consulting to Australian community and hospital pharmacies. This work started in 1972 installing manual stock control and category management systems into community pharmacy and then expanded to include: * a photographic marketing group for over 200 pharmacies. * A marketing medicines program that promoted medicines and the pharmacists provision of advice. * Workflow efficient dispensary designs and use of Swedish Sintek ergonomic efficient dispensary stock storage units. * Publication of the management and marketing magazine Pharmacy 2000 from 1992 to 2001.My academic qualifications include Bachelor of Pharmacy from Sydney University and the Management Certificate from Hornsby TAFE.The most important qualification is from the university of hard knocks and mistakes. Sometimes this university has very high fees but it provides the best value learning.
