Consulting for Cisco Advanced Services on the delivery of wireless LAN infrastructure for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Key Responsibilities:• Post-deployment radio frequency (RF) network design, RF surveying and site planning.• Optimisation and deployment validation of high-density wireless LAN infrastructure.• Configuration and connectivity activities, including test planning and cutover activities.• Document and communicate findings to BT/Cisco project stakeholders.

Joined BT as a Senior Network Consultant specialising in the design and delivery of wireless LAN solutions to major enterprise customers across the UK. Promoted into management to help drive the aggressive expansion of BT’s wireless LAN capability by scaling business operations to meet aggressive sales growth targets. After establishing business as usual, portfolio was increased to include the design and delivery of LAN and Security products/services across multiple vendors with 11 direct reports. Key Responsibilities:• Technical leadership on sales-led initiatives and major tenders to drive strategic revenue.• Planning and execution of internal and external client projects• Management of daily infrastructure engineering operations and staff. • Drive department-wide systems and processes to optimise technical delivery. • Stakeholder management at business, supplier and user levels.• Establish technical forums to encourage cross-vertical collaboration.• Preparation and delivery of customer-facing presentations and hosted technical workshops.• Critical evaluation of emerging products and services to support customer business requirements.• Source of technical advice to Sales and Marketing.• Produce monthly reporting on key performance targets to senior management. • Demand/supply forecasting of professional services resource.• Management of training budgets and key partner accreditations.• Scale professional services delivery through recruitment and strategic partnerships.• Preparation of pre-sales responses for pre-qualification and tender submissions.

Joined BT Skynet as a Senior Wireless Consultant employed to design and deliver Cisco wireless solutions to BT’s customer base. Promoted to Team Leader in May 2006 to technically lead on the design and delivery of Cisco’s centralised wireless architecture which had been recently launched. Upon the merger of BT Skynet and BT TNS to form BT iNet, promoted to Manager of the Wireless Engineering Team to spearhead expansion of the company’s wireless capability to meet aggressive year on year sales targets.

Awarded the Network and Telecoms Cadetship whilst completing the final two years of my undergraduate degree. Employed as a full-time Network Engineer upon cadetship completion and involved in a number of key network projects.Key Achievements:• Engineered and successfully implemented a customised embedded Internet system to enable remote monitoring of critical power generators used for disaster recovery and continuity of datacentre services. Coded the software interface using Java and Python. This was a direct application of my undergrad thesis and was further explored in the publication presented at AUPEC2002.• Technical lead and architect for implementation of the University's wireless LAN network, incorporating over 1,000 access points. At the time, the country’s largest rollout of wireless LAN infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:• 24x7 response for troubleshooting and resolving operational issues of LAN/WAN, Internet/intranet remote access, wireless, servers, and disaster recovery.
