I manage a team of 19 field service engineers of a global brewing company; across an area spanning 5500 sq miles in the South-East of England. • Responsible for the ensuring the delivery of of in-house drinks dispense technicians for a global brewing company. Tasked with meeting or exceeding performance measures while maintaining high technical standards and an excellent customer service• Managing a team of 19 customer-facing field service engineers across the South East of England, an area in excess of 5500 sq miles.• Creating Key Performance Indicators, (KPIs), which provide financial and commercial gains for the company. Communicate, implement and engage the teams in those KPIs. • Analysing team and individual performance figures against KPIs to identify and advise on areas of improvement or best practice. Aiming to reduce waste activities and improve efficiency.• Maximising technicians’ efficiency and improving customer experience by championing a culture of Right-First-Time for maintenance and installation visits.• Quickly identify emerging issues, providing both permanent and temporary resolutions to customers through good communication with various stakeholders; planning teams, technical standards, supply chain, etc.• Carry out route cause analysis on technical and customer service issues at problem sites. Liaising directly with customers and investigating any subsequent complaints. • Identifying capability gaps within the teams before building and implementing performance improvement plans to close those gaps.

Royal Navy

Served as a Weapon Engineering Chief Petty Officer: responsible for ensuring the correct operation of radar and missile systems, which provide major war-fighting capabilities on board a Royal Navy warship. • Planned/implemented preventative maintenance schedules to uphold engineering standards and therefore reduce the probability of breakdowns.• Located and rectified system defects by following established fault algorithms in conjunction with functional/circuit diagrams. • Regularly liaised with outside agencies and design authorities to discuss system faults, repairs and shortcomings to sustain/improve operational running hours.• Responsible for the maintenance and safe custody of the ship’s fragile, high value assets. Ensured their safe stowage and provided specific knowledge/expertise during any incidents they may be involved in.• Supervised the re-integration of a major resource, having recently had a complete renovation, back into the ship’s mainframe and its partner equipment. Carried out subsequent trials, reported on equipment performance and provided feedback to the design authorities. • Delivered full system coherency through direction of the engineering teams working on individual sub-systems. Mentored system engineers and their teams on key engineering principles/techniques, as well as co-ordinated their efforts, in order to deliver complete operation of a system that was reliant on several separate sub units.• Advised senior management on the scheduling of equipment capability trials within the company timetable; de-conflicted with other major evolutions, ensured resources were available and arranged external assets in addition to design authority attendance. Reported back on equipment performance. • Provided system knowledge to senior management. This included balancing sub-system failures with overall equipment capability to retain some level of functionality; until we were in a more suitable rectification period.
