I have led a rewarding and challenging life since High School. I have worked as a doorman at 2 popular night clubs, I worked as an Emergency Medical Technician and as the Assistant Director of Ambulance Services. I have worked briefly or as a hobby in construction, heavy equipment repair, welding, automotive repair, custom car audio/video and lighting, worked in maintenance for the city and the marina, automotive refinishing customizing & painting and a long career as a Correctional Officer in a Max Security Prison that has taken a huge toll on my mental health.I was happily married until Feb 2018 when my PTSD came back, this posed a greater strain on my relationship with my wife of 20 years than she could handle. Like so many with PTSD, we either Push away the people we love or they help enable us. I am still not sure why she wouldn't try therapy, but it was a decision she made for her self to have a better quality of life. I still have our 4 amazing children that are my entire life! I am so proud of each of them and their achievements, manners, and respect for others and kind giving nature.I am now moving on to a new chapter in my life. I have been deemed Completely Disabled, I can Never work as a Correctional Officer again, and retraining or a new career would cause undue stress that would "Hurt" my healing rather than help. This is a lot to process, so much paperwork, so many different Doctors, so many forms that need to be completed, it is overwhelming!
