Performed comprehensive data collection and validation process, executed complex funding model, provided scenarios to Grants Commission for approval & liaised with Federal Government as well as councils. Successful annual audit and sign-off by Queensland Treasurer and Queensland Auditor-General of Financial Assistance Grant - 770 separate payments to councils annually - Total transfers of $3.7 billion in the period 2017 - 2024. Over 2020 and 2021 departmental lead on project team with Queensland Treasury Corporation to deliver new funding model – involving many funding scenarios utilising complex analysis and comprehensive engagement with the local government sector. Model was approved and endorsed by the Federal Minister for local government. Created reporting dashboards and briefing packages to enable quicker and more comprehensive Commission decision-making and engagement. Provided numerous funding allocation scenarios in tight timeframes with complex and evolving criteria, for other Departmental funding programs e.g. ‘Works for Queensland’ ($300 million to Queensland councils over 3 years).
