A current Junior at the Kelley School of Business with a passion for business development and innovation. My time at Kelley so far has been amazing, learning all the skills I need to have a basic knowledge of how the business world works. I have been lucky to have had the opportunity to work in groups since day 1, collaborating on various projects on excel but also in a presentational setting. Innovation in the business world has always been a passion of mine, hence why I decided to Major in Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation. My experience firsthand with a growing startup last summer called Catapult Print really cemented in my mind that that section of the business world is not only what I find the most interesting, but where I could thrive. I have a knack for seeing trends and being able to analyze situations to help come to the best decisions. On the personal side of things, all I've known in my life is working with teams. Growing up in a sporting family I was always with a team of whatever sport was in season. It allowed me to learn not only how to meet new people on the surface, but to connect and build relationships with them. For example every summer since I was 10 I have attended as a camper, and more recently as an intern Rick Valentine Golf Schools in Edinburgh, Scotland. Meeting kids from all over the world ranging from Spain to Oman, each year I have come out of the camp with a new group of friends from around the world. I have learned the power of common ground and how easy it is to build relationships off that, even if we don't speak the same language very well. Being just one of many examples in my life, I see these experiences as invaluable for my future in the business world.
