As Program Manager I am responsible for coaching/supervising and supporting Peer Coordinators and CASA Guardians ad litem Advocates. These volunteers implement the direct service of the CASA Program to ensure every child receives effective advocacy and early permanency planning. CASA of NH's goal is to ensure 100% of all children in abuse and neglect cases are placed in a safe, nurturing and permanent home.

I was hired as the sole investigator for the first ever Federal Public Defender in the District of NH. I continue to expound upon the skills I developed as a State Public Defender. Meeting deadlines and multitasking are still a major component of the job but the investigations are more complex, high profile and varied requiring self education in a number of areas. I've needed to master an understanding of banking and mortgage regulations; environmental rules and regulations; statutes governing conspiracy and RICO investigations; all manner of computer related crimes; and the multitude of individual government agencies that prosecute violations of their agency rules and regulation such as the IRS or Social Security. I thoroughly enjoy the variety of investigations, the challenges they present, and the learning experiences that come with every new case I'm assigned.As of October 1, 2013 I accepted an early retirement offer and left the Federal Defender.

Chief Investigator from 1992 to 1994. Prior to my promotion to Chief Investigator I developed a strong foundation in all aspects of criminal defense investigation. I am adept at handling a number of different tasks in a fast paced environment that values attention to detail and meeting deadlines. As Chief Investigator I developed an in house training and assessment program and doubled our staff size from 12 to 24 investigators in eight offices throughout NH.

After basic training and specialized Chemical Lab training at Fort McClellan, AL I was stationed at Fort Gordon. I worked in the Department of Clinical Investigation, a medical research laboratory. I was promoted to the rank of Sargent, E-5, after only serving three years in the Army.
