Senior Instructor for the training of Royal New Zealand Air Force Air Warfare Specialists at RAAF Base East Sale. This involved the delivery of both ground based and airborne training, and the management and command of students and instructors. I also instructed on the transition courses that converted No. 5 Squadron P-3K aircrew to the P-3K2 platform. This included the planning and delivery of both ground and airborne training.

L-3 Communications Integrated Systems, Greenville, Texas, Usas

Project Officer for the New Zealand Ministry of Defence during the P-3K System Upgrade Project. This project updated the communications, navigation and sensor systems on Royal New Zealand Air Force P-3K Orion maritime patrol aircraft to the P-3K2 standard. During this time my responsibilities involved providing operational advice in the development and integration of mission systems and relevant HMI. I also was heavily involved as a customer representative during contractor testing of both hardware and software, both on the ground and in flight. I also had close involvement with the development and delivery of publications and the conduct of aircrew training for the upgraded aircraft systems. These activities encompassed both the prototype aircraft and the first two production aircraft.
