The responsibility of this role is be to develop & drive an integrated strategy from R&D, Marketing, Sales, Consulting & Support for TechnologyOne's Corporate Performance Management suite of products; and work with our state offices to ensure the successful implementation of that strategy. The role encompasses planning to resource each product with the appropriate people, skills, strategy, product features and culture.

Responsibilities of this role included managing a team of product specialists who were responsible for pre sales presentations and marketing messaging across all of our major solutions. I also managed our Marketing and Communications team encompassing all aspects of TechnologyOne marketing including brand management, public relations and media, general and internal communications, investor relations, events, advertising, collateral, sales engagement, marketing campaigns telemarketing etc.

I spent 2 ½ years in my role at TechnologyOne Sdn Bhd which was the first overseas office opened by TechnologyOne Ltd. I worked in the Malaysian office of TechnologyOne which I started with one other local employee. My past experience in various sections of TechnologyOne made me an ideal candidate to assist in the development of this office. My responsibilities in Malaysia included;Establishing all aspects of the new office, including administration, consulting, the establishment of local partnerships, sales and pre sales responsibilities along with initial account management of existing sites.

I was the first TechnologyOne employee to be promoted from a consulting background into pre sales and then sales. Responsibilities included tender response preparation and submission, discovery processand preparation for tailored presentations to prospects, all product presentations, and full responsibility for the sales cycle from initial contact through to closing of business. Once my skills were realised I was moved very quickly into a Business Development Manager role.

As Manager Client Services, I was responsible for the managing the TechnologyOne Financials Help desk along with the a small R&D team who undertook enhancements to the TechnologyOne Financials solution. In addtion I was responsible for the Quality Improvement System and documentation of the TechnologyOne Financials Product, along with the team of consultants across the eastern seaboard of Australia. At the time the consulting team numbered around 10.Through my experience in various accounting roles, as a TechnologyOne Consultant, and as Manager Client Services, I have had the opportunity to utilise, implement and support TechnologyOne Financials in a hands-on accounting environment. Therefore I had, and still have a genuine understanding of Financials product from a user’s perspective. In addition I was been involved in the development and documentation of TechnologyOne Financials. As a result, I have a unique insight into all aspects of software development lifecycle (in other words I understand both sides of the argument).

My initial role at TechnologyOne was as an implementation Consultant whereby I was involved in the project management, implementation and after-sales service of TechnologyOne clients. My other duties included product documentation and conducting training courses on both a formal and informal basis to customers and internally within TechnologyOne as well as user presentations to both large and small groups including TechnologyOne User Conferences (now Evolve).

During my time with AFMA I was initially brought on board as to utilise my commercial skills to help transform the organisation from a Government Department to a Statutory Authority, including a move from cash to accrual accounting. The assembled team was able to both get the company accounts into shape in introduce practices to take the company forward.
