Peter Glowacki is the National Leader of BLG's Private Client Group and practises primarily in the areas of wills, trusts and estates law, including more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of trust and estate planning, administration and litigation. This includes the planning, preparation and ongoing advice to settlors, will-makers, executors, trustees and beneficiaries pertaining to all aspects of inter-vivos, Indigenous, off-shore and testamentary trusts, as well as risk management and compliance advice to financial institutions.Peter received a TEP designation from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in 2000, and has written for its publications and spoken at its events in Canada and internationally. He is a member of the CBABC Wills and Trusts Section, the National Aboriginal Trust Officers Association (NATOA) and the Estate Planning Council of Vancouver.Peter has participated in the planning and presentation of numerous educational sessions to various professional and public groups relative to wills, trusts and estates, including the Law Society, CBA BC Wills and Trusts Section, Indigenous Wealth Conference, NATOA, STEP, CLE BC, CAGP, Cambridge Estate Forum (Steering Committee member) and PBLI.Peter is an ongoing contributor to the CLE BC - BC Probate and Estate Administration Practice Manual, Estate Planning and Wealth Preservation Manual, and the Lexis Practice Advisor Canada module on Wills, Trusts and Estates for British Columbia. Peter is Past-Chair of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, and sat on its Executive Committee. Peter has been selected for inclusion in the 2014 through 2024 Editions of The Best Lawyers in Canada in the practice area of Trusts and Estates, recognized in the 2019 to 2024 Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory (for Estate & Personal Tax Planning, Aboriginal Law and Charities Law and Aboriginal Law) and has received a Martindale-Hubbell® Distinguished™ 4.4 out of 5 Peer Review Rating.
