Having started from a grammar school education, unusually, I went into a time served apprenticeship on the Contracting side and subsequently worked mainly for Electrical and Mechanical firms, I then have over a period of twenty five years attained various professional qualifications and experience working for various professional firms starting with Gleeds, Davis Langdon and Everest, Gleeds again, Faithful and Gould and then EC Harris for 11 years.I am now the Director of my own Company Glynn Project Services (GPS) Limited.I currently hold professional qualifications in Electrical engineering,(HNC) Cost Engineering (MA Cost E) Quantity Surveying (Degree plus MRICS) and Project Management (MAPM Diploma and Membership)Experience was gained over many years as a Cost Engineer, QS or Commercial Manager in virtually all fields of construction including Power, (Conventional, Gas Turbine, Nuclear, Renewable Offshore Wind Turbines) Chemical, Oil and Gas both onshore and offshore, water / sewage and Glass Plant installation. Building Construction works of all types from Affordable Housing to major commercial/ Retail and most aspects of building construction.Project Management experience is in Local Govenment including BREEAM Excellent construction plus Residential Retail developments. I have been in commercial management on a major FPSO Project in Hamburg for Oil and Gas Industry for 18 months. Subsequently, I have been working on short term assignments in the field of Renewable Energy Offshore Windfarms and recently (Sept 2015) finished working in the Nuclear Industry on a long term 12 month contract.
