Installation, maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.

Responsible for carrying out servicing and installation of compressed air equipment such as piston and screw compressors, refrigerant and desiccant dryers, air receivers and pipework. I also attend breakdowns as and when required including out of hours callout.

I’m solely responsible for organizing fork-lift servicing visits on a monthly basis which also includes providing a 4 hour response time for breakdowns. This involves managing my own van stocked parts, fault diagnosis, following exacting servicing schedules & waste disposal procedures which can include part sourcing any special/consumable items. I provide these services on a wide range of material handling equipment, including electric pallet trucks, heavy lift diesel & gas forklifts & warehouse reach equipment.

Working for Southern Water gave me a great opportunity to improve self motivation and the structure of my work load as I was frequently working on my own and planning tasks. I was responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide variety of equipment involved with waste water treatment from small to large pumps, reflux valves, gate valves and actuators, conveyors and pressing equipment as well as diesel generators and straining equipment.

Pre hire inspections and annual MOT and service checks on 4x4 and HGV. I also completed training with Atlas Terex UK Ltd to carry out yearly thorough inspections and load testing according to the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations on a wide variety of loader cranes.
