I am a mixed methods researcher with over 20 years of experience designing, supervising and implementing end-to-end research. I was trained as an integrative social scientist drawing upon evolutionary and cultural foundations to understand how and why humans think and behave. I have applied this expertise through collaborative and mentored projects involving approximately 125 studies with around 10,000 participants, in both industry and academia. My mixed methods experience includes in-person and online interviews, online surveys, biological sample collection (saliva, urine and blood spots for hormone analysis), naturalistic behavioral observation, quantitative analysis of large datasets, content coding of websites, experimental online designs, cross-cultural analysis using a standardized empirical database, usability testing, and systematic literature review.I have a productive and successful track record of negotiating research challenges with an agile approach and with deliverables of publications, presentations and product recommendations. I have authored approximately 100 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and compilations on a range of human behaviors. My most meaningful contribution has been coauthoring (with Kermyt Anderson) a book (Fatherhood: Evolution and Human Paternal Behavior) published by Harvard University Press on fatherhood. As an applied researcher, I focus on generating consumable and actionable insights that improve the user experience.I thrive working in cross-functional teams to identify problems and generate solutions. I have over 20 years of experience working and facilitating in-person and online with leadership and research teams from 4 to 60 participants in addition to one-on-one mentoring. I am zealously user-centered while attentive to the varied partners and perspectives involved. I have delivered approximately 2000 presentations in adult learning contexts, honing my presentation skills in varied in-person, online and hybrid environments to a variety of audiences. I regularly contribute to and lead hybrid internal and cross-functional research presentations.
