Peter is a Partner in Ashurst's international Projects and Energy Transition team. Peter specialises in all aspects of non-contentious construction, with particular expertise in the renewable energy sector. Peter has vast expertise in negotiating construction contracts across the standard contract forms of FIDIC, BIMCO, LOGIC, NEC, IChemE, and JCT (as well as bespoke and "pass down" construction contracts), with a keen focus on the wind and solar sectors. Peter is an advocate of multi-contract procurement structures and has market leading expertise in this area. Beyond his core construction practice, Peter has expertise in the negotiation of operation and maintenance agreements (and related asset management service agreements), grid connection arrangements, and power offtake arrangements, including in relation to private wire and grid sharing structures. Peter also regularly advises clients in respect of legal and commercial solutions for projects that have become distressed during or post construction period.Peter was located in London between 2008 - 2019, and relocated to the Ashurst Tokyo team in 2019.
