As a senior member of AAMC Oncology and Hematology (formerly Annapolis Oncology Center) I serve on the Thoracic Oncology Steering Committee. I am the medical oncologist for our neurologist-oncology program. I have served as Principal Investigator for more than 40 clinical trials that have been active at my institution. In 2012, I initiated and now maintain the AAMC satellite hematology-oncology practice in Odenton, Maryland

I created the Bureau's first tumor virology laboratory. In this capacity, I characterized a herpesvirus endemic in macaque monkeys, and also contributed to the understanding of immunodeficiency in Hodgkin disease patients.
