I'm Peter Griffen, a designer and maker based in the North West of England, dedicated to enhancing lives through innovative design and engineering.With 7 years of experience, I've delved into bespoke furniture design, collaborating with renowned artisans like Joseph Walsh and Marc Fish. My journey also includes impactful work in medical design, such as re-engineering sleep-apnea ventilators for Royal Brompton Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic.Combining my expertise in furniture making and medical design, I created Levata, an assistive device for patients with lower-leg oedema, helping them manage their condition effectively.In 2021, I was honored with the Most Manufacturable Project award at the Made In Brunel show. Since then, I have been recognized with the Young Innovator Award and received two grants from Innovate UK: the Fast Start and Unlocking Potential grants.I am passionate about innovative assistive devices and would love to connect with like-minded professionals in this field.
