Lead Infrastructure Engineer
CurrentSupport the SchoolsFirst complex infrastructure with primary focus on the key functional areas of Azure Cloud Computing, Azure Active Directory, On-Prem Active Directory and Windows Servers. Responsible for effective administration, configuration, installation, provisioning, monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure availability, capacity and performance of infrastructure systems is achieved.- Serve as a Lead Engineer for the IT Cloud & Application Services Team- Serve as primary point of contact for Azure and related Cloud Computing initiatives.- Install and configure systems to support infrastructure and applications.- Develop and maintain configuration standards and operating procedures.- Coordinate with vendors for technical support and upgrades.- Submit, fulfill, and prioritize appropriately, assigned service requests.- Respond to incidents, research and resolve assigned problems.- Provide KPI and metrics for reporting.- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.- Design, configure, test business continuity, backup, recovery, archiving solutions and high availability.- Conduct after-hours maintenance as needed.- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware/software upgrades, and resource optimization as required.- Gather and analyze system log files.- Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks.- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.- Coordinate and collaborate with Teammembers and service stakeholders.- Provide third-tier support including investigation and troubleshooting.- Perform regular systems hardening to maintain security standards.- Support disaster recovery failover and testing.
