Responsible for the management of 68 fitness clubs throughout the UK ensuring they trade successfully both financially and operationally in accordance with the objectives of the company directors.Key Achievements:• Fully responsible for managing the generation of income throughout the chain whilst at the same time have reduced key overheads to a minimum resulting in all time high EBITDA results for the leisure division, for two years running.• Responsible for 2900 staff.• Implementation and management of innovating personal training product to the company resulting in a major financial gain to the company.• Implementation and management of the company “Green Policy” which is an initiative to drive down utility usage and costs, which has been highly successful and sees DW Sports as market leaders in this field with excellent year on year reductions in all utility usage.• Recognising evolving trends within the industry and overseeing the installation of functional training zones to over 40 DW Sites, gaining the company recognition as market leaders in fitness innovation.• Expansion of the group exercise programme throughout the chain, resulting in highly improved swipe to class usage ratios.• Overseeing the infrastructure of a newly formed company ensuring that all appropriate management structures and objectives are in place, whist at the same time opening 14 new sites with an innovative new look.

Management of all property related projects ranging from liaison with landlords and insurance issues to maintenance and overseeing group health & safety. Key Achievements:.• Organized the initial set up of the Primary authority scheme and was the main liaison, agreeing a regulated inspection plan with all enforcing boroughs throughout England & Scotland. This allowed the company to operate to one set of conditions with regards to Health & Safety, no matter which borough we traded in, giving more consistency.• Introduction of the in-house pool maintenance team resulting in more efficient and cost effective repairs to pool plant, and also began sourcing our own chemical supplies resulting in large savings across the estate.

Responsible for auditing all clubs nationally and providing constructive feedback and action plans for the General Manager of each site, on how they could achieve excellence within their sites both operationally and financially. This was backed up with written summaries to the associate director of the fitness clubs on each sites performance. Key Achievements:• Managed to have play a major part in developing many of the operating systems that are still used today throughout the estate, helping achieve a consistent look ,feel and experience in every club as well as ensuring all health and safety requirements were managed adequately.• Being part of the senior team who won The Leisure Report “Health & Fitness Operator of The Year 2008/2009”.• Awarded the “Impact Shield” from the Managing Director, which is given for the “Best Employee working in the field”.
