I have completed a pre opening and been part of the opening team within a group of Aparthotels. Planning, Revenue Strategy, Marketing and Sales were key drivers within this new project.During my time at various hotels I have assisted in driving the reservations and revenue within the hotel forward. After the hotel had been purchased after being in administration, I helped drive ADR up by over £4 in the first three months, restructured the agents business to remove the lower value groups and tours, increased the rates with these companies to drive a higher rate at peak times and give substantial base at trough times.Reviewed the contracts with OTA's as to increase or decrease allocations where necessary. Worked with agents who booked through GDS in order to maximise the hotels profile, and completed the RFP's at the correct times in order to achieve the correct levels of business. I worked for the previous General Manager at Holiday Inn to improve the Food & Beverage standards. The hotel had no direct standards or department manager in place, therefore I supported the Brand Standards, implemented them, brought in Wet and Food stock control methods, ordering controls and training points to help achieve the brand audit.I have also delivered training for reservations and the front desk. The hotel had limited training at this point, and with the General Manager's support the hotel improved it's position within IHG and within the Management company.The General Manager has since moved on to a 4* hotel in Manchester City Centre.
