Utilising both Blood Bank and General Laboratory Cerner Pathnet modules, I am currently working to create, implement and maintain various Blood Bank, Cellular Therapies and Sendaway applications into our state-wide Laboratory Information System (LIS).The translation of workflows from worksheets and several databases in use into one paperless workflow and LIS has been an enjoyable challenge for Cellular Therapies.I recently led the project for the integration of ISBT128 labelling and coding for all blood products within SA Pathology and Pathnet whilst working with the wider SA Health and Bloodsafe community for the state-wide implementation.I have recently copmpleted the implementaion of GS1 barcoding and implementation into Pathnet across all SA Pathology. I continue to provide technical expertise in defining, developing, implementing, training, and supporting solutions for business/clinical applications at SA Pathology specific to Laboratory Information Systems and other LIS issues. Background and past history-• Working within GMP environments for more than 30 years.• Creation and implementation of operational and technical policies and procedures.• Schedule and implement duties of staff and associated activities.• Co-ordinate and implement effective monitoring programmes throughout the facility.• Provide professional direction to internal and external clients.• Provide expert advice in manufacturing principles to ensure safety and to ensure specifications are not compromised.• Design, create and implement validation and/or verification procedures.• Create and implement documentation for IQ, OQ and PQ.• Regularly participate in procedure or policy reviews and to make decisions when required to benefit scientific and manufacturing issues.• Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office Applications.
