Dr. Peter K. Hammerschmidt, President of Leadership Consulting Services, Inc. has been advising executives in leadership, innovative problem-solving, and teamwork for four decades. His practice areas include leadership development and high performance teaming. He makes frequent presentations on economics, leadership, and decision-making to business and civic groups. He was invited to present his paper, “The Kirton Adaption Innovation Inventory and Group Problem Solving,” to the British Psychological Society, and the paper was published in The Creative Problem Solving Journal. That same research was recently feature in May 2018 in Inc. Peter received the Robert A. Staub Distinguished Professor of the Year Award at Eckerd College. He was selected for the” Leadership and Team Building Trek” at Mt. Everest by the Wharton School and has twice (January 2002 and 2006) led a “Leadership and Team Building” summit climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro for business executives and college students. Peter led a team of students and business professionals to New Zealand for a team working experience during the America’s Cup races there in January 2003, and led and another team of students on a summit climb of Aconcagua (the highest mountain in the Americas) in January 2004. In January 2005 Peter led a team of 14 business executives and students to Antarctica on a team building adventure to study the leadership lessons of Sir Ernest Shackleton and Ranulph Fiennes.
