Developed landscape concepts to satisfy Snohomish County's Rural Cluster Subdivision requirements for Visual Screening Buffer and Stormwater Detention Screening ("Living Fence").Managed long- and short-subdivision submittals, including LID Concepts, Cottage Housing, and LDMR (Low Density Multi-Family Residential).Coordinated work of sanitarians and CAS consultants (wetlands, streams and steep slopes.)Developed interface between AutoCAD and Snohomish County online data (soils, assessor map, etc.)

Created landscape master plan for 35-acre Urban Center in Snohomish County, including non-vehicular circulation and the full integration of LID concepts ("rain gardens") into the highly urban plazas and pedestrian oriented streetscape.Designed elevated and at-grade boardwalk (using AutoCAD) athigh density, home project for wetland mitigation, using Diamond Pin Piles for minimum site impact.

Wrote Sensitive Areas Ordinance (SAO) Permit Application for the Cascadia Community College / University of Washington Bothell Branch Campus.Planned twelve bicycle/pedestrian crossing options for I-405 indowntown Bellevue.Created street tree plans for urban and suburban streetscapes, and did first order field location of wetlands on proposed development site.

Produced master- and site-plans for petroleum, paper and multi-modal transportation projects.Created three "natural," storm water detention basins (maintainable wetlands) for Skagit County's Waste-To-Energy Facility (garbage burner).

Developed recreation mitigation plan for a 4,000 square mile hydropower project in central Alaska, including tourist impact on seasonally wet tundra and taiga habitats.Designed and conducted fieldwork, data collection, and public preference tests for visual/aesthetic impact assessment of low-headhydropower project on the Merced River.Managed EDAW's share of visual impact work for an Office ofNuclear Waste Isolation (ONWI) site in the Southwest. The site was within the viewshed of Canyonlands National Park.

Developed a rock quarry master expansion plan within the sensitive Willamette River Greenway, including environmental and permit work.Designed shoreline access and upland use plan for U. S. Forest Service Work Center on Whale Island in Southeast Alaska, with habitat mitigation.Created a sand/gravel quarry closure/mitigation plan including: visual impact; water quality (sediment); complex traffic; and airborne particulate mitigation.

Managed master plan for Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle, including shoreline mitigation and restoration of the Foster Island Nature Trail.Created successful recreational lake and associated wetlands at Eagle Island State Park, Boise, Idaho (Idaho’s first urban State Park). Used new, created wetlands, to mitigate parking lot runoff.Developed interpretive text and exhibits for Tennant Lake Interpretive Center, Whatcom County, WA, based on a eutrophying, ox-bow lake, associated wetlands and abutting human uses.Extensive special training / experience in: public involvement; restoration of natural habitats; and "special" public landscapes (arboreta, zoos and interpretive parks).
