In my professional and personal life, I have combined a passion for teaching supply chain management with a passion for traveling the world. By teaching supply chain, lean thinking, and project management concepts, techniques, and skills, I strive to contribute to the ability of supply chain and operations management majors to add value, achieve success, and generate positive results for their employers and communities. I have always believed that education must integrate practical work and experiences to effectively develop the next generation of leaders, and I actively promote internships, guest speakers, industry projects, and facility tours in my teaching activities.I also believe that global travel increases my knowledge and ability to make students and myself aware of difficult cultures, business practices, and global supply chain challenges. I feel that experiencing a wide range of cultures, physical environments, languages, and people better prepares me for educating my students on the critical issues associated with sustainability, diversity, and social inclusion.
