Direct/lead Product Regulatory team in four countries to support Ashland's EMEA operations, represent regional product regulatory issues to European leadership, business partners and Corporate Product Regulatory.

Conducted REACH pre-registration and registration (Third Party Registration and Only Representative) services on behalf of clients. Provide REACH advice and guidance to ReFaC clients and subscribers.

Managed a team responsible for all aspects of national occupational health and safety (OHS) related to chemicals. Responsibilities include the production and maintenance of national material on major hazard facilities, storage and handling of dangerous goods, hazardous substances and exposure standards. Represented Australia at GHS and ILO meetings.

Conducted evaluations on new agricultural and veterinary chemicals submitted via the APVMA, including recommendations on NOELs/NOAELs, ADIs and MRLs and presentation at the Australian National Drugs and Poisons Scheduling Committee and the Australian Committee on Pesticides and Health.Also duties included the conduct of public health assessments on new and existing industrial chemicals and cosmetics for NICNAS.

Conducted genotoxicity testing to support new drug development. Developed new genotoxicity testing methods to improve efficiency. Published genotoxicity research papers in Mutagenesis and Mutation Research. Maintained the unit's equipment capital budget and supervised laboratory equipment maintenance and servicing.

Performed and reported routine in vivo cytogenetic assays on pharmaceuticals, industrial and agrochemicals for client companies. Ensured assays met guidelines for worldwide regulatory authorities and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). Day-to-supervision of two technical staff plus the in-vivo cytogenetic laboratory.

Participated in the successful completion of long-term rodent toxicology studies. Provided technical support in histology, haematology, clinical chemistry, dose formulation and mechanistic toxicology. Conducted a special project on a megakaryocyte purification procedure from rodent bone marrow.
