Leader of the Tay 611-8C Design Integration Task to ensure the correct definition and satisfaction of Design Requirements within a major new engine project working across international boundaries.Tay surge problem owner. In this role I identified and delivered the solution to a major in service technical problem. I delivered this significant technical package within the required budget (£4m including capital spend) and timescales using a team of 4 people who directly reported to me.I acted as the design focal point in the transfer of design accountability for the Tay engine to Rolls-Royce Deutschland. Acting on behalf of the project Chief Engineer I ensured that a structured plan was followed and that the “life of type data” required for type certificate transfer was properly managed.
