Researched, wrote, worked with chapter readers, edited manuscripts, indexed, and proofed galleys.Wrote press releases and marketed title(s) through wholesale and retail channels. Principles of Finance. A survey course on corporate financial management and instiutions balanced with theory and practice; and case studies. An overview of financial sectors and thetax environment; ratio analysis; forecasting profits; working capital management; investment decisions with present value emphasis and investments under uncertainty; valuation and cost of capital; and long-term financing. Emphasis is placed on operations during economic uncertainty.

Originated government, agency, subprime, and portfolio loans, which included purchase mortgages; rate and term, debt consolidation, and cash out refinances; and reverse mortgages. Conducted in-depth credit analysis and qualified borrowers based on payment history, credit score, income and assets, and loan to value ratios. Used automated underwriting systems like Fannie Mae’s Desktop Underwriter and Freddie Mac’s Loan Prospector. Managed pipeline to closing. Stayed abreast with market conditions and worked with strategic partners. Researched, wrote, and published industry-focused articles as part of customer relationship management plan to generate repeat business and referrals. Accomplishments included:*Ranking second in production for 2006 and fourth for 2007 out of 30+/- loan officers;*Repeat business contributed to 40 percent of production volume; and *Published email and hard copy newsletters as well as articles in the industry trade magazine Scotsman Guide.

I had a lot fun studying, because I put myself completely into each individual and team project. A totally challenging and totally rewarding experience.

Researching, writing, and editing my book Mortgaged and Armed. I set out to do this project during the Labor day weekend of 2007. One year later, I finished the first draft. Fourteen readers corroborated the direction and tone and ensured a solid readable book. Labor Day weekend 2008, it went to a professional editor. An industry expert said of my book:"You have written an important book for most Americans because this bursting of the Housing Bubble (or subprime bubble) will be almost as large as the Great Depression." I initially targeted a release date of August 2009, but kept researching and writing until May 2010 due to marketplace turmoil and negative growth in the real estate and mortgage lending markets. Set for release July 2010.

Responsibilities included developing and managing Public Relations and Marketing Campaigns that unified collateral materials with online content. Planned $200,000 marketing budget. Developed and implemented database-driven media and marketing strategies. Coordinated and negotiated agreements for print and web advertising, lists, trade shows, and seminars. Prepared new business development proposals. Accomplishments included:*Developing and executing strategies that contributed to 40 percent revenue growth over one year; *Managed consultants, ensured timelines met; *Organized meetings that kept departments coordinated, moving forward in unison, and on task; and *Interviewed, hired quality personnel, managed, and provided employee performance evaluations for Product Managers, Administrative and Marketing Assistants, Graphic Artists, Web Masters, and Interns.
