Engineer I (Tlt)
Short term assignment as lead field scientist for King County Solid Waste Division to bring ground water, surface water, and wastewater monitoring into Federal compliance. County had a history of non-compliance in this monitoring activity. Objective was to regain compliance by conducting sampling that follows rigorously controlled methods to produce highly repeatable analytical laboratory test results while training staff in proper scientific protocols. Samples taken at multiple sites, including active and closed landfills, transfer stations and other remote/isolated areas. Goals for achieving Federal and State monitoring compliance and training of permanent staff were met and exceeded.
