Accepted solutions begin with the proto-type process to design verification and validation. Commercial agreements are established as well. These agreements include price negotiations, delivery, NDA's and LTA's. Customer engagement ranges from technician, engineering, purchasing to executive levels. The application of concepts and ideas from Innovation training at University of Chicago as well as studying Stanford's Design Thinking Process aids in understanding the customer's needs and delivering customer satisfaction.

Consolidated Metco is a division of Amsted Industries. We manufacture Automotive and Class 8 truck components. The engineering team is responsible for improvements in plant production, installation of new equipment, all die cast tooling used in the plant, and technical support to maintenance and production. The engineering team was responsible for the installation of automated die casting cells that included new high pressure die casting machines, robots, and systems that allowed us to obtain the "DNA" for each part cast. This was a very high volume operation where marginal improvements led to successes. We were also tasked with quality and manufacturing of Class 8 truck parts.The engineering team included seasoned die casting engineers, quality, automation specialist and robotics engineers. Each member conttibuted greatly to the success of the engineering department.

Develop and maintain customers for custom hydraulic manifolds and systems. Principal areas have been Subsea and Mobile Equipment. Subsea Hydraulic systems and engineering include ROV tooling and intervention packages. Responsibilities include frequent meetings with engineering and production to create products that meet their equipment needs. These are new developments in this industry. This includes selecting valves, components and materials which meet the severe operating environment of subsea usage. Currently, I work with all the major manufacturers of ROV's worldwide.

This required international communication and transprotation. A 15 month project from initial survey to start-up, which included financial tracking, timeline monitoring and personnel training. Worked directly with the owner of the company to manage a two state territory. We represented Rexroth, Hydac, and Hydra-Force for this area. Attended training programs at Rexroth and Hydac. In August or 1998 the owner sold his company and I was employed by one of my largest customers.
