The main objective was to bring the financial organization and internal reporting to benchmark standards. I introduced the monthly reporting, including analytical reporting, standard cost accounting and various balance sheet reports. In addition, I became president of the needlefelt business unit and was as such one of the key players in the 2004 acquisition of the Baisieux plant located in France (first foreign acquisition of the group). Consequently, I became Business Unit Manager of Sommer Needlepunch from 2007 till 2009. Due to a new shareholder’s agreement beginning 2010, I returned to my position as CFO. We implemented a fully integrated ERP system – Microsoft Dynamics - in both the French and Belgian site.
