I'm an experienced management consultant and regulatory economist with 16 years’ experience in British, Irish, European and Australian energy markets. I specialise in market design, reform and integration projects. My experience spans the entire industry value chain, working with public and private sector clients to develop and implement strategies to successfully navigate the risks and opportunities from regulatory change. I manage projects, lead small and large teams of consultants and am an adept stakeholder manager.Prior to joining Baringa, I was a Senior Economist at the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem) in London. I led Ofgem's input into the development, negotiation and implementation of the European Target Model supporting the UK Government and partnering with National Grid. Before that I led Ofgem's input to the UK Government's Electricity Market Reform where I worked on the design and evaluation of renewable support mechanisms and the capacity market. I started my career at the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) where I played a lead role in the review of several distribution pricing proposals, amendments to the service target performance incentive scheme as well as working on various transmission and distribution price controls.
