Co-founded and got the station and equipment going for Invercargill wide broadcast with two other partners. I dealt with the business side including finances, (Advertising income, GST, taxes etc. expenditure), office computer network setup for the first year until bought out by business partner.

I started this for myself part-time during the Environmental Management course simply to help out friends with issues and other students who probably couldn’t have afforded an actual IT person to fix it.

Basically we cleaned cars, vans, 4WDs, campers even trucks and tractors inside and out from the ground up. Customers are mainly car dealers with fresh imports or trade-ins though we did private work as well.

During this time I worked for a couple of different builders through an employment agency working on jobs including the suspended ceiling for a new gymnasium at Southland Boy’s High School and running Rondo channel for Gib shells in the rooms of the newer part of the Luxmore Hotel in Te Anau.

My position here was in trade sales which basically consisted of customer service in the yard. Duties included everything from advice about products and applications to putting bulk orders together for the builders. This also included forklift operations such as unloading trucks or loading customers trailers etc.

Roofing mainly for independent contractor.

I worked here part time till I was laid off, not long before it shut down completely. My role was a glassy, going around the bar collecting the empties, stocking the chiller and emptying the bins

This included a range of jobs as the seasons changed from Hay cartage, Maize cutting and Dairying, all for farmers and contractors around the Waikato region before returning to Southland for SIT.

During the off season I continued working various building sub-contracts for a range of jobs including flooring, roofing, cladding etc. around the Waikato.

Here I was involved with installation and maintenance of industrial air applications in malls, warehouses and factories around the Waikato. I also helped install domestic heat pumps during this time.

I was a sales assistant here beginning part time while I was still in school to full time once that had finished. Role included sales, customer service and till operations.

Here I worked part time during school at the Pre-cut making nogs/studs etc. for house framing.
