I am a Chartered Town Planner with over 15 years experience in both the public and private sectors. I have a broad range of planning skills and experience, including:- Successful track record for all stages of planning application preparation, negotiation and related development management advice, including for larger and more challenging schemes;- Leading and undertaking strategic planning and policy development work, including for all stages of Local Plan, DPD and SPD preparation and review;- Site promotion work, with extensive experience promoting development sites through the local plan preparation process;- Expert planning witness with a wide experience of both local plan Examinations and s.78 planning appeal inquiries and hearings;- Considerable project management, including setting and monitoring budgets, developing and reviewing programmes and coordinating wider consultant teams;- Expertise in the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and Planning Obligations (s106) policy development and negotiation;- Leading the preparation of site appraisals and planning assessments, including systematic appraisals for multiple sites;- Expertise in the Solent Nutrient Neutrality issue;- Evidence base research, analysis and evaluation;- Leading and managing planning-related stakeholder and community engagement work; and- Extensive line management experience.
