Peter Hopkinson is Professor of Innovation and Environmental Strategy at the University of Bradford Faculty of Management and Law. Peter led the University's award winning Ecoversity Programme 2007-2011. After this he led the £6M new re:centre project based on the BREEAM outstanding HEMP constructed Bright Building. In 2010 he set up and leads the University's academic partnership with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. The University became the first named Global Pioneer University for the Circular Economy in 2014. This recognition builds on five years work with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation (EMF). This work includes developing the world's first MBA in Circular Economy in January 2015 in partnership with EMF. This On-line MBA forms part of the Faculty suite of on-line MBA courses, which is ranked in the Global Top 10 for On-line MBA in the Financial Times rankings. The course currently has 100 students and is growing rapidly with students from all over the world from a wide range of professional backgrounds. The course is an A-Z of the circular economy and is vigilant to new areas of debate, academic critique and professional application.. In 2012, Peter together with Will Stewart and colleagues from EMF designed an Executive Education programme for the EMF Circular Economy 100 group. Members of the club include Cisco, Unilever, Philips, Google, Apple, DSM, Kingfisher, Ikea, Renault, Tarkett, IBM, Steelcase, many regional and local government members and a numbers of pioneer and partner University. After 3 years we have had over 800 delegates which continues to attract high levels of positive feedback from people keen to explore and advance their understanding and knowledge of the circular economy. 

Peter with academic colleagues is leading three new UK Innovate UK projects on Circular Economy Business models providing tools and insight for companies keen to capture the business opportunity and benefit from 'circularity'.
