I am currently a Managing Director of Acquisitions at BH Properties, an LA-based family office investing fully discretionary balance sheet capital. At BHP, I cover Northern California acquisitions with a focus on value-add and opportunistic risk profiles across all major property types. Prior to BHP, I was a Partner and Head of Acquisitions at Soma Capital Partners, a privately owned commercial real estate investment firm located in San Francisco, California. With over 13 years of experience in the investment banking and real estate investment industries, I bring a unique blend of macro and micro perspectives to the real estate investment process, with over $1 billion of transaction volume in both LP and GP positions to date. At my core, I am an opportunistic investor, and have transacted and/or consulted on all major property types across the risk spectrum and capital stack. My location in the San Francisco Bay Area keeps the power of disruptive technology in our industry top of mind and I seek to stay on the forefront of emerging trends and investment themes in a rapidly evolving landscape.Prior to joining Soma Capital Partners in 2013, I was the lead investment analyst at Simpson Housing, an institutionally backed owner/operator of multifamily properties in primary coastal markets. There, I led financial analysis and due diligence for the firm's acquisitions, dispositions, and joint venture developments. Previously, I was the lead financial analyst with Morgan Keegan's (now Raymond James) real estate investment banking group, where I supported public and private equity raising and M&A assignments for REITs and real estate operating companies. I hold the Series 79 and 63 licenses issued by FINRA.
