About Peter Horneffer, M.D.

I am dedicated to leveraging modern educational technology and theory to optimize the learning process in medical education, and make it available to underserved areas both in the US and internationally. Experiences in using online transmission of didactic content and interactive teaching demonstrated to me how quality medical education could be provided in areas where that would otherwise not have been possible. As importantly, the establishment of medical schools in underserved areas per se elevates the local health-care standard as well as provides a boost to the local economy. Education is a most powerful tool! The attached TEDx talk which I recently was asked to give presents an overview of my work in this area.
