My main role is to provide category advantage for Unilever over its main global competitors in the deodorant market (Beiersdorf, P&G, L'Oreal etc). I lead a global R&D Competitors network that allows information and intelligence to flow quickly and efficiently across the world. I am the primary contact for deodorant competitor R&D information and play a crucial role in:- Competitor monitoring- Coordinating response plans to competitor launches- Coordinating welcome plans for markets prior to a launch- R&D support for claims challenges- Raising competitor mindset with the category. Essentially it is my job to know how competitors technologies work; what future technologies they are interested in; how they can support their claims and when they are planning to launch a new product into the market. "Always be one step ahead of the competition."In addition to my competitors role, I also lead the claims work stream for Global Dove Clinical deodorants.
