I am based at Roehampton University and we are in charge of the soft services at the University. We work alongside the hard services teams to ensure we deliver a quality service. I am part of the waste management team and also do safety walks, am involved in training staff how to operate machinery, create and print schedules, signing in sheets, list of assets on site etc. I also log in jobs on our system that are required to be completed by other teams. I have over 20 certificates for health and safety in the workplace and in the industry.

I worked with the company alongside the Director for 5 years. I was in charge of recruitment, wages, schedules for our cleaning operatives and supervision of the work that was carried out. We specialised in domestic cleaning, building site cleaning, sanitisation of dental practices and had contacts to do the waste collection of a large university. I also had to deal with customer complaints, toolbox talks and training our members of staff how to operate machinery and COSHH for our chemicals.

My main job role was to accept and catalogue new stock coming in,make sure everything was delivered correctly, inspect for damages and then make the orders going out to all of our shops. I also had to work with customers at the door coming to collect their furniture direct from us.
