In 1988 founded North Atlantic Publishing Systems Inc. and have developed software to solve business problems for publishers and translation houses in workflow, editorial systems integration, web site development, localization, text composition and cross-media content preparation. We develop and sell the CopyFlow Gold plugin for use in the language translation/localization market. CopyFlow Gold is available for InDesign, QuarkXPress or Adobe Illustrator. CFG is the workflow tool recommended by SDL-Trados for round-tripping text to and from Quark. Mobile Apps: Memory Ace, MyQuizCard 2 for iOS & Android phones and tables. (HTML5, jQuery & PhoneGap)Past Projects: Flicks-now : A flexible web based Netflix search application utilizing Netflix REST based API, PHP, jQuery and SQL.NAPS built the first desktop workflow system used at Business Week magazine. That system managed the workflow of the magazine's pages every week for more than two years. Working with New England Business Service (NEBS), NAPS was a pioneer in web-based composition and built one of the first web sites to show personalized, web composed proofs of business stationery. Consulting: NAPS has provided consulting development and project management for numerous systems and applications developers. Our consulting customers have included: Saxotech, Multi-Ad Creator, Quark, Modulo Systems, XyVision, Translations.com, The Boston Globe, NEBS, EDS, EPS, GloablSight and others.History: At the 1989 MacWorld Boston, NAPS introduced its first product, an XTension to QuarkXPress called CopyFlow. This XTension enabled a layout editor to rapidly assemble and reassemble pages by automating the batch import and batch export of text, and the batch import of art.
